About performance

The masterclass led by the famed and globally lauded Vesturport company will address the tradition of Icelandic theatre, creative work and themes that resonate across the island of beauty. Gísli Örn Garðarsson, one of the directors, will present his productions that emerged up north, as we as their reception in the UK. The audiences at the Slovak National Theatre will have a chance to peek behind the scenes of the work of one of the most impressive theatre companies of the day, whose authors of music for the productions include such names as Nick Cave. The Vesturpot portfolio prides itself with dozens of award-winning and otherwise lauded productions, largely of classical works. We are delighted to have an opportunity to host the theatre makers from the northernmost point of Europe, what has been in part made possible by the Office of the Slovak Government as administration of the EEA and Norway Grants.
